File sharing is the ability to share files on servers. It is efficient for people to download easily on multiple devices. On personable note, i have apple cloud which i have a family plan with my parents and older brother. It is very easy for me to share my photos with family members if needed. We have a shared photo album where we upload photos from each other. P2P is also known as peer to peer which allows people to share online as well. Applicable companies are, Google Drive, One Drive, and Drop Box. These up and coming technology has given way for bigger corporations to capitalize on the momentum. Companies like Comcast has invested in smaller start ups that provide these services. Some examples of modern day P2P file sharing is downloading torrents online. When you can't find a foreign movie on any streaming site, people usually use torrents to download.
